There are a vast number of writers, teachers and gurus out there telling all of us how we could end our suffering if we only do this, that, or the other. Most of these writers are sincere, express themselves well, and have wonderful offerings. In the past, I too was engaged in this seemingly endless search, and followed various spiritual paths and teachings until I realized I was never going to “make it.”
Beginning in 1973, I partook in many meditation practices, various “paths,” loads of books (I even owned a bookstore, which made that particular indulgence even more accessible.), several teachers, one guru, and whatever and whoever else I could find that would finally bring me enlightenment. I was very fortunate to work with a truly inspiring teacher, Christopher Moon, whose work, particularly with the emotions, is as relevant to me today as it was when I first encountered it. I was truly blessed to have discovered his work when I did.
In 2007, it became very apparent to me that despite my best intentions, despite my sincerity, despite all my effort, despite some very deep experiences and realizations, that I was never going to reach my goal. At this point, through somewhat unique circumstances, the illusion of this so-called “reality” was revealed to me, and beliefs I had held my entire searching life began to unravel.
Of course, it’s one thing to know we are prisoners of our beliefs, and another to actually unwind from the restricting cords of those beliefs. The writings of Scott Kiloby are a practical guide, as well as a true source of inspiration for me in this deprogramming process. By following the “bread crumb trail” being laid out for me, I now find myself a Certified Facilitator of the Living Inquiries, as created by Scott Kiloby. (I have even been fortunate enough to work at the Kiloby Center for Recovery in Rancho Mirage, CA, from Sept. 2014 through July of 2015.) These inquiries have been instrumental in unravelling the cords of beliefs that had me searching outside myself for healing, rather than resting in the infinite perfection inside, a perfection that is always available to each of us.
What I want to do, from the deepest part of me, is to share the experience of waking up with those who are interested. The Living Inquiries have been an integral part of this awakening for me, and I would love to share this opportunity with you.
From what I can see right now, none of us need healing, none of us are broken, and we never have been. No one “needs” these Inquiries. However, The Living Inquiries present a wonderful opportunity, in that they are suitable for anyone who wants to check out whatever is happening for them in the here and now. I know of no other more effective and yet gentle way to reveal the beauty and perfection of who we truly are.
Chances are, if you are reading this, The Living Inquiries have something to offer you. It would be a pleasure and an honor to help facilitate the experience of The Living Inquiries with you, as we explore this present moment together.
